Westbury top of the library league

Last month Voice reported on the high turnout for the library consultation meeting called by Bristol City Council.

The meeting room at the Coombe Dingle sports complex was packed, with many people failing to get in and trying to follow proceedings from the stairs or an adjoining room.

It was one of 14 library consultation meetings across Bristol, based on Neighbourhood Partnership areas.

The council has published summaries of public questions and comments at all 14 meetings including the number of attendees, and it makes for interesting reading.

The official attendance for the Henleaze, Stoke Bishop and WoT meeting is put at 216, though it was probably more. The total from the other 13 meetings was 156.
