Outdoor concert boosts spirits in lockdown

On Sunday 3 August, the residents of Fallodon Court in Henleaze were treated to an afternoon of songs performed by Laura Presti, daughter of a resident and accompanied by piano and vocal teacher Gaenor Rees-Elliott, also a resident.
All of the residents of the private retirement estate managed by Anchor Hanover Group are aged over 60, with many in their 90s and several having to shield as a result of the pandemic.
Not being able to enjoy the usual weekly coffee mornings, this was a much-welcome respite to the isolation many have endured. It was joyful to see residents enjoying the social atmosphere, singing and the sun!
